Iva Ganev is Bulgarian. After completing International Law studies in Paris, she followed her attraction to the EU arena and moved to Brussels in 2006. There she has developed an expertise in EU climate and energy policy while leading environment, energy and climate accounts for a consulting company, before being recruited by one of her clients, a EU industrial trade association where she was in charge of the sector strategy on energy cost impact and greenhouse emissions reduction. She has been appointed expert in several European Commission working groups. Since October 2019 she is working as an independent consulting on projects involving private entities, international institutes and public authorities.
