Florian Pennings works for Microsoft as Director for EU Cybersecurity Policy. He believes that industry collaboration and multi-stakeholder management is important to ensure strong cybersecurity and that it requires constant engagement and open discussions. Before joining Microsoft, he worked at the Dutch National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) and at the EU Cybersecurity Agency (ENISA) and coordinated strategic and tactical cooperation with industry and public stakeholders. At Microsoft works on EU cybersecurity policy and emerging technologies like AI and 5G, using his operational and strategic national and European experience. He strongly believes that cooperation is built on trust and common interests, not on differences.
